Cashmerino Mits!

My first commissioned knitting project:

sorry. camera phone again.

Julie picked a lovely shade a teal for these which of course looks like ass from my camera phone, but I do what I can consider I'm getting paid to other things at present. I made this one yesterday while home sick on the couch. She should have a lovely pair by Monday morning.

PLUS... this is my first pattern. I winged it. I consulted a couple patterns, then added my own increases, then changed needles to get the right gauge and even added my own selection of ribbing. These are one of a kinds.

What did you do for lunch?

I went to Windsor Button. Yes, Julie, AGAIN!!
excuse the camera phone again
Just as I was about to leave with...nothing... the blue yarn caught my eye. It's almost Tiffany blue, which was a topic of yarn conversation late last week in the office. I think I'll make a scarf and hat pour moi.

I bought a crochet hook, cuz I only have one and it's an H or something kinda big. I need a smaller one for when I make mistakes (cuz you know I do. I'm becoming a professional mistaker - if that exists.) with smaller yarn. Then I saw those locking stitch markers that Chris raves about. Yeah... I'm gonna need those too. Then, lo! At the register. Cheap, retractable measuring tapes. I've been looking everywhere for you!

So there you have it. My lunch break. In all its splendor.

Baby Hat

Here is the cashmerino baby hat completed on Monday. Cute, non?

Sorry for the camera phone pic. The deliciousness of the cashmerino is much less inviting in this format.
