Eatfest

If you're a child of my parents, the odds are pretty good that you know your way around a kitchen. You know what to do with a bulb of garlic and you understand the importance of properly sharpening a knife. We've all logged enough episodes of the Frugal Gourmet, Dinner at Julia's and Good Eats to write our own cookbooks.

So when there's at least two of us together, we're cooking. Which isn't often. The three of us are in three different states.

Brewer came to visit last weekend and we had ourselves what I would refer to as an Eatfest.

To Hubby's slight objection, I have recently found myself with a serious crush on Jamie Oliver. Maybe it's the mockney talk or his messy hair, but I think he had me with his bbq sauce. I had to make it. Only thing is it requires a little fussy work and a crowd to feed. We didn't have a crowd, but who cares.

There was talk of method, timing, knife skills. It was great.

I think at one point I shouted in my backyard the following phrase,
"This is effing synergistic magic!!"

I was pretty excited to a cooking teammate in da house.
