Doh!!

Remember the illusive camera battery charger? I knew once I bought one the dirty rat would show up. It turned up in the bag I took on Hubby's birthday weekend. I found it as I unpacked the same bag from the marathon yesterday. Crap.

Only love...

Only love and admiration for a friend would reduce me to this:

Yes, Fun Fur. Two words I had hoped never to utter on my knitting blog.

Chrisie: If you're reading this, a special project is in your future. Only you could reduce me to knitting heresy.

Another ballband

Done! Ready for some psychedelic dish washing!

Rusted Root

I just couldn't wait. I started my Rusted Root today. I'm using the exact same yarn as the pic. Same color too. I can't wait.

I did not do a swatch again (I know, I know!), but last time I did and still got bit. I started with needles one size up and so far, I'm getting gauge. I'll have to go a few more inches before I will know for sure.

Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece:
Weaver hates this yarn. This made me skeptical. She's always right on when it comes to these things. She confirmed yesterday again that Cotton Fleece is crap, nay, CRAP! I tried to find a substitute at Butterfly yesterday. Even with the sale, I could find anything affordable and more importantly any colors that I might consider. So I figured I'd take a chance.

Weaver, I gotta tell ya, it's not bad. The 20% merino cuts the usual rough, hand drying quality of cotton. It does split a bit though.

I guess the jury is still out.

Sweater Progress

Coming along, eh? Got both sleeves done and through the waist shaping. I need to try this on again tonight and determine if I need to do some increases for hips. Not too much farther/longer. Good thing the marathon is tomorrow and I may have to sit for a long time somewhere. :)

It's not going to be as fitted as I think it should be, but I think it's going to be pretty comfy and cute over a long sleeve shirt. Definitely a good layering item.

Stash Enhancement

Butterfly had a sale on Saturday. Got some good stuff.

I got this to make an ascot type thing. I've been eyeing it for months. I'm gonna have to give it a try. It's Classic Elite Premiere cotton/tencel blend. Looking forward to working with this.

The color didn't come out well on this. It's a vibrant turquoise cotton blend. Two balls make a baby sweater!

This is the real pride of the trip: 8 balls of Spruce Green Skye Tweed at 40% off. Skye Tweed is discontinued and I'm thinking of a 3/4 length sleeve simple cardigan for this. I think that's a project for the fall though. I just hope I can do it with 8 balls. There's some of this on Ebay and I've been considering buying just one more ball to make sure. I'll think about it.
