I bought this a couple weeks ago at Woolcott's in Harvard Square. It's sock yarn, 100% wool. I had to get it because the colorway is called "Bearded Iris." Yes, it was made to come home with me. I'm thinking socks for your truly. ;)

I'm actually knitting the skein of that (different colorway) that I bought. Not getting very far very fast but keeping it for those tv nights to work on. Maybe a little bag when all is said and done. I totally think I need to just jump into sock knitting. Screw the nine thousand scarves first. bring on the socks! :)
I love the color. Wish I could wear wool. Maybe socks would be okay. Have to give it a try.
I think this wool should be a scarf for someone you work with.... :)
