This weekend I overheard a phone call that went like this:
Caller presumably said: "What does Haddy want for Christmas?"
Hubby: "I've got a whole list. You know how organized she is."
Caller presumably said: "What's on the list?"
Hubby: "Um... I don't have it in front of me. I'll send it to you."
Caller presumably said: "Well... I'm at the store and I have an idea. Do you think she'll like ___?"
Hubby: "Yes. That's sounds great. She'll love it."
After the call:
Haddy: "Aw man! The list! The list?!"
Hubby: "Don't worry. They know you. They've got a great gift!"
Aw man! THE LIST?!?!

Doesn't matter how together you are. someone will come along and f it up by thinking for themselves ;)
guaranteed it won't be anything close to what is on your list.
