Size 1 needles!!

I'm making socks for myself. I bought a new book by Nancy Bush. Nancy re-worked sock patterns from Weldon's Practical Needlework from the late 1800's. There are some pretty fancy socks in here and I'm a little ashamed to admit that I'm tackling a plain old ribbed sock.
You got to start somewhere right? Above is the cuff. I'm already into the rib pattern, but I don't have an updated pic.

So... size 1 needles. I don't know how I feel about these. Pretty tiny. This is my first pair of socks not on a magic loop. I'm not sure how I feel about that either. I figured if I was going with classic patterns, I'd try the classic method. These are noisier than Addi's, which doesn't bother me but it might bother my traveling companions on the train.

Me + Cherry Tree = love.

all my socks have been on size ones. I'm thinking about adding some size 0's to the family, but haven't found them in 47" yet. Wait til you start looking at the 000's !!! Yowza!!!
