My first Etsy purchase.

Isn't she lovely?

I love it! I've been looking for a small knitting bad for a while. I usually have yarn and needles all mixed up in my commuting bag, tangled with iPod cords and purse hardware. If I'm lucky, I've had the opportunity to procure a ziploc to contain a project, but mostly it's just thrown in a bag.

When it comes to something like this, I'd normally just make it myself. But lately I've been viewing sewing as a distraction from knitting. Plus, I just didn't want to make a bag. I'd been looking, but I hadn't found anything that was the right size and made well.

Last week I was cruising some knitting blogs and found a post mentioning a bag they bought at Etsy. I visited the seller's shop and found this.

I have this thing for Our Lady of Guadalupe. I think it began with the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, but I'm not sure. I think she's beautiful and mystical. I had to have it.

This bag is so beautiful. It's not just the OLoG either! WhiteWillow is a great seamstress. The seam line-up, the top stitch is perfectly straight, and it's lined with cotton duck. Cotton duck! She knows what she's doing. I love this bag.
