Rusted Root

I just couldn't wait. I started my Rusted Root today. I'm using the exact same yarn as the pic. Same color too. I can't wait.

I did not do a swatch again (I know, I know!), but last time I did and still got bit. I started with needles one size up and so far, I'm getting gauge. I'll have to go a few more inches before I will know for sure.

Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece:
Weaver hates this yarn. This made me skeptical. She's always right on when it comes to these things. She confirmed yesterday again that Cotton Fleece is crap, nay, CRAP! I tried to find a substitute at Butterfly yesterday. Even with the sale, I could find anything affordable and more importantly any colors that I might consider. So I figured I'd take a chance.

Weaver, I gotta tell ya, it's not bad. The 20% merino cuts the usual rough, hand drying quality of cotton. It does split a bit though.

I guess the jury is still out.

I hear ya on the colors. They have some great colors! I just don't enjoy the fight. Brown Sheep's Lamb's Pride, though? LOVE IT!!! (just in case someone from Brown Sheep is reading and thinks that I don't like their stuff :) )
