Kick ass sock yarn & Camo pants

Goodness. It's been a week since I've posted. Well let's play ketchup!

The knitting is going. I went to Butterfly twice this weekend. Once to shop, once to sit and knit. I just love hanging out there. Lovely family. Kim knows exactly how to hook me. Sock yarn. I went in to get a couple more balls of the GGH Bali (another baby sweater, maybe):

I left with that and the coolest sock yarn I've seen in a while!

Kim was telling me about it and where it's from... but I wasn't listening.... it had me at pink and green. :)

I also picked up this project bag:

It's perfect for my train projects. So much better than the bag I was using.
See the yarn coming out? The entire baby sweater is in there.

The baby sweater is coming along:

Special thanks to the women of the MIT Stitch 'n Bitch
for helping me with the pattern. They were right.

Bought two buttons for the sweater on Friday. Little pearly things:

Lousy pic, I know.

Hubby McGillicutty is at a business dinner, so I've settled in to finish this sweater. It's gonna be a project!

Oh yeah. I now have camo pants. Don't judge! Every girl needs a pair, even if she lives in the 'burbs. I saw them and they reminded me of the fatigues I had when I was young. My Marine father bought them for me at an Army/Navy store. I remember his shock tinged with pride when I asked if I could get a pair.

Ok. So these are capris and they have girly ties.
I'm the daughter of a Marine. I'm badass regardless.
Semper Fi.

is that a Della Q bag? I got one from a swap partner. The sweater looks good!

I love that sock yarn ... the colors are perfect for the summer. And that new little bag for commuter knitting is great. You can't have to many knitting bags BTW. I have a few that I keep with a project to grab on my way out the door. ;-)

So glad you're happy with the baby sweater too. It's beautiful so far. It is going to be so well loved and cute with a baby inside.

Good eyes or a sad lack of a life, you choose ;)

Oh, so many of my personal acquisitions have been born out of the love for the pink and green.

The baby sweater is perhaps one of your best works, I think. It's so intricate and the color is so presh. Those MIT vimmens know vut vuz up!
