Ravelry and Copper John

So. Ravelry. I'm all about it.

I finally jumped on the bandwagon and I think it's going to change my knitting world. If you have a knit blog, you'll love Ravelry (StitchingNut: get thee to Ravelry! You'll love it. Plus, I wanna see your stash!).

It's hard to explain for you muggles out there, but the site has all these amazing components. They thought of everything. It's revolutionary. Genius.

Here's a shot of my notebook there:

Canoe/fly fishing update:
The perfect red canoe saw some action this weekend. The maiden voyage was on Baldpate Pond late in the afternoon on Saturday. I caught 2 tiny sunfish before Mark even got his fly in the water. That was all. The weather turned *scary* so we practically ran off the water.

I've caught 3 fish this season all on a Copper John:

I haven't taken it off my line. I'm a little superstitious. That and I'm a bad knot tie-r. The fact that the knot holding this fly has endured three fish (albeit small ones) is a testament. Keep the fly, I say.

I always say go with what you know. If the knot works, that the knot you use.

Is Ravelry ready for me? Did you guys work out all the kinks? Well okay, I'll have to check it out as soon as I can.

BTW, my stash stays in hiding until someone gets DH away from the house for awhile, LOL.

I've looked it over ... and Okay, I'm ready for it. I'm officially on the waiting list. We'll see if "they're ready for me"!

I think I have lots of catching up with everyone else tho. You, Mafia & Danielle have been playing with it for awhile now. [I'm putting in a new home computer soon tho] ... see you on the "other-side", LOL.

Ok so I am a muggle. But only because I do not have magical powers... not because I don't know how to knit.
