The Harlot was in my 'hood

Stephanie Pearl-McPhee was at Borders in Burlington last night.

Seriously, please don't underestimate knitters. We represent.
Especially in the hometown of Ravelry.

I met loads of people. I met a lot of people in person, that I previously only knew online. I even saw a few knitters from Melrose that I haven't seen in ages.

My friends just knitting away:
I met Stephanie. She spends time with everyone. We talked socks and we took a sock pic:

The fabulous Harry Potter socks are now fabulous Yarn Harlot Harry Potter socks.
Can you stand it?

The rules were no inscriptions, but I made a simple request. I asked if she would write the word "arse." I got that and then some:

It's hard to explain the appeal we knitters have for the Harlot.
She's our Madonna - without the pointy bras, of course.

Nice to see you last night--love the socks. My mail carried just came up to the door with a box that included yarn for a Gryffindor inspired winter ensemble :)

Apparently, without any bra, unless required to get up in front of an audience! But lots of new underwear ...

Cath - email me. I've lost your email. We should do a knitalong for the interweave sweater.

I heard about the hilarity from FabricNFiberFantic when she stopped in Salem yesterday. Sounded like everyone had a lot of fun. BTW, Stephanie will be at Seed Stitch next Summer. I'll be at that one of course. ;-)

The subculture of knitters has overlaps with the cult of Harry Potter. Who. Knew!!???
