My favorite project

Cobblestone update: I finished the sleeves and cast on for the body.

I figured that deserved a reward.

So I cast on for Composed Mitts. I started on the way to Maine on Sunday morning. I finished the first mitt on the bus this morning. There's something disappointing about finishing a project on public transportation. As with any project, there's that split second "I did it. I made this." moment and no one cares. Truly. Especially on a morning commute. No one cares.
Unless of course you made coffee.

Seriously, I think this is my favorite project. All time favorite. So much fun to knit, it went super fast and it's tres jolie.

It has baubles:

It doesn't have fingers.
Perfect for commuting, phone clutching and T-pass digging:

It's fair isle in great colors:

I did mess up my tension a bit, especially in this section:

I don't care though.
I'll try to work some of the tight stitches free, but I love it how it is.

I love it inside out.

They're beautiful, Haddy. You know you've lent to the creation of something to be proud of (be it a mitten, a baby) when you love it inside and out.

It's stunning! I can't wait to see it in person.
For the record (which seems to be my favorite phrase today), I finished the last piece of a long-haul project on the train last night and swung it around in the air. Everyone else surely thought I was crazy, but I don't care. I'd suggest you try it. It's very freeing. ;-)

What super fantastic fingerless mitts!

Mafia is swinging FO's around in the air on the train ... and I have been known to take pictures of my work in progress on the train. Today I'm giving my Campanula Socks a tour of M.I.T. Nutty? Well ...

I love these. I can't wait to learn how to fair isle knit. I'm taking a class at the Southern Fiber Fair in North Carolina in October.
