Clearly, I have not blogged. Yes, I have been busy. So busy that blogging isn't even on the radar. Not really even a thought. Things are somewhat slowing down. I don't really wanna talk about what's been keeping me busy because honestly, I've been told that it's not that interesting.
I will, however, share with you how I've been entertaining myself between anxiety attacks, in attempts to lull the beast that is my over-worked brain.
Van Halen.
I went to see Superbad a week or so ago. The Van Halen song "Panama" is prominently featured. Thanks to iTunes "Panama" was the theme song to last week. I analyzed it, read the lyrics, thought about the lyrics, played air guitar whenever Hubby walked in the room and insisted it be played on every car ride. "It's about a car. No a woman. No, a car. WTF does panama have to do with the car?! " How on earth can you be human and not be delighted by that song?! It's ridiculous! It's fabulous! I did however make the mistake of looking up the video on youtube. I'm not even gonna link to it. It ruins the whole thing. I think Van Halen thought they were gymnasts.

I found this pattern on Sunday and immediately downloaded it and got in my car to purchase yarn. It's progressed a bit more since this pic, but I think I'm about halfway there.

Vulnerability.
I've been really conscious about what I put out there. Negative thoughts, actions and words cut through life. I've been feeling pretty vulnerable this week, like I'm dodging bullets. The surprising part is that despite the feeling and my lack of physical strength, I feel mentally tougher than ever. In the words of KanYe (the ultimate in puffy chested bravado) "Excuse me, is you saying something? Uh, uh, you can't tell me nothing."

As for Panama, I'm totally with you on the fact that videos ruin songs except I think that pretty much all videos ruining the enjoyment of the songs. But I have to say... If you're enjoying Van Halen, you've got way tooooo much stress ;)

hey! panama is me and 3d's song. when we started dating that song played EVERYWHERE we went. now we have it planned out for our wedding... some bride and grooms walk out to 'top gun' themes, other will walk out to panama and you better believe there's gonna be a high five and a chest bump!
