I've come to the realization that I am too busy. I always knew I was busy, but I always operated under the guise of "Sure. I can find time for that." You can always make time for something you want, right?
But...
I wake at 6am, leave the house by 7:20, come home at 6pm. I require at least 8-9 hours of sleep per night. That leaves me roughly 3 hours each night of "free" time, in which I want to workout, eat, do laundry, do dishes, pack my lunch, pick out clothes for next day and when that's done: not use my brain.
Twice already this week I had this singular thought:
"How could I possibly fit that into my life?"
A friend on the train said, "Did you ever try a class at the new yoga studio?" My reply, "No." See above.
It was magic hour on my train ride home yesterday and I started thinking about photography and how I really should take a class. See above.

So I ask the question to the void:
How does one live a full life when you can't do it all?
How does one live a full life when you can't do it all?
Don't answer that. I'll just hate on you if you've got it figured out.

Dude, when you get the answers, can you let me know?
well i have a few suggestions, none of which you'll probably want to use.
1. sleep less.
2. don't pick out your clothes ahead of time -- just go into your closet with your eyes closed and put on whatever falls into your hands.
3. workout? workout? what's that?
4. knit while driving.
5. .....
hey, if it helps any, you aren't alone.
I guess the French have an expression. I don't know French but I know how to pronounce it. Phonetically, it's "Metro, Bolo, Dodo." Train, Work, Sleep. I believe this is the order of the verbs. I think it's ironic that this is a French expression, what with our Ameri-perspective of them frittering away the daylight hours over croissants and espresso, oui? So this is my thought - if even the French can feel that there's not enough time in the day, maybe we all need to get back to more croissant-eating, at a leisurely pace, and then, at least, we won't feel like metro bolo dodo birds. The end.
I gave up housework, but I'm afraid it's starting to show now. Iron? Workout? Clean house? I just knit darn it!
Well I still do too much, even get up at 4:00am & into bed at 9:30pm exhausted. So I guess I don't have the answer either.
