So last Friday, an academic likened my job to herding cats. Today, another academic said this to me:
"With the advent of this news, your job must feel strikingly similar to whack-a-mole."

well i don't know where whack-a-mole comes from (although i've heard it before) but the herding cat analogy not only have a heard, but also used to describe working with a bunch of academics.
Heh, we use the herding cats analogy all the time. The whack-a-mole, not so much...
I love the whack-a-mole analogy - perhaps I just wish I could play whack a mole with them as the moles...
