You're a blogging machine this month.
I love reading your academic posts - it makes me feel so not alone in this world!!!
M-m-m-m-m, another one that took you to an examination that I hadn't thought of. You see, I always heard thru my tunnel hearing devices (my ears) the word to be "tenderhooks". Altho, why would I think of hooks being tender? I don't know. But "state of uneasiness" was the meaning I put to it also. And I guess "hooks" WOULD make me uneasy too, LOL. So it made sense. Now I'll surely hear it to be "tenter". Thanks, I do like your vocabulary lessons, Haddy.
