Forgive the camera phone, but the sock looks pretty good, no?
Hubby has expressed some general dissatisfaction with the term "hubby." I'm trying to think of something better. Runner? Marathoner? The Running Enthusiast? The Jack Johnson fan with whom I share my house?
I took an especially wide shot of the sock to show you the barren grossness of my desk at work. I came up with a great idea last night. I think I'm going to make a desk blotter. I gonna get some cool fabric and make a really big place mat for my desk. Maybe something from here.
In my online fabric wanderings, I found this. I'm so getting a couple yards. This is definitely not for anything at work though!

Haddy, Fancy that you've mentioned a homemade desk blotter to splash up your 9-5 zone. I just made a groovin' bulletin board for our church and covered it in lovely lime green fabric (Jesus is so down with the hot spring colors) and found some blue and green ribbon and painted some wooden shapes blue as clever attaches. This clearly has everything to do with your proposed desk blotter, only it really doesn't.
